What is the difference between 做什么 and 干嘛 and i see those have same meanings. but I wanna know if there's any nuance difference. is 干嘛 sounds rude? can i use 干嘛 in normal situations? ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

理论上，“干嘛”不是正确的表达。
因为，嘛是语气词，不是疑问词。
“干啥”才对。
但是用的人多了，所以你现在这么用也没人说不对了。
“我就说嘛，他早晚会来”。
"你在干啥呢？现在有空的话，我们去吃火锅吧"
干啥=干什么=做啥=做什么。
