They're both really good translations, but I would switch "I've been seeking something and looking for someone" to "I've been searching for something and looking for someone."
Seeking tends to be used more for abstract things like knowledge, truth, etc. Searching is used for more concrete things like a dog, shirt, etc, but can also be used for abstract things. It kind of depends on the context, but searching sounds better to me.
