This is a gambling term. When you are gambling in a casino or gambling den, the "house" is the company that owns/runs the gambling establishment, and the house has a slight advantage for winning. When you win, you overcome this advantage because the house usually wins. So it is just a cool way of saying that you won. It is often used in other situations where you were supposed to lose, but you won.
