Question about English (US)
Does this sound natural in English?
"Her husband heard her screaming. He hurried to her. When he came to her, she was in a bad estate. He ran in panic looking for an ambulance in the wood. So he had to drive the car out of the wood. Because it was night he couldn't see very well. He crashed car coming in front of him. He hit his head in the steering wheel. The car was almost totally destroyed. The woman was screaming in the wood. She couldn't move from the pain. She delivered a baby by herself. She died because her hurt was weak to pump the blood to the rest of the body. And she didn't take any postnatal care. "

"Her husband heard her screaming. He hurried to her. When he came to her side, she was in a bad state. He ran in panic looking for an ambulance, but they were in the woods, so he had to drive the car out. Because it was late at night, he couldn't see very well, and he crashed into an incoming car, hitting his head on the steering wheel. The car was almost totally destroyed. His wife was screaming in the woods. She couldn't move from the pain. She had delivered the baby by herself, but later had died because her heart was too weak to pump the blood to the rest of the body. "

Why you write she had delivered not she delivered?
- English (US)
I was debating whether to say
She had delivered the baby by herself, but later died because...
or
She delivered the baby by herself, but later had died because...
and I forgot to remove one of the "had"s when typing it out.
I think what makes most sense in this context is:
She delivered the baby by herself, but later had died because...
However, that part is really up to you.
