It should be "I'll tell you who the first principal of the school was."
If you mean "a fundamental belief" instead of "the head of a primary or secondary school," it is spelled "principle."

I see. Which sounds more natural, “the teacher of the school” or “the teacher at the school”?

@mathen A teacher at the school. This is because a school has many teachers but only one principal.

So I guess the major issue is that the direct object of the verb "tell" needs to be information, not a person or thing. So it needs to be rephrased or put in a clause.
Wrong: Tell me him.
Right: Tell me his identity.
Right: Tell me who he is.
