本を読むこと=読書 です。
日本語では「ホッビー」とは言いません。
趣味は本を読むことです。趣味は読書です。 と言います。

「本を読むことです」と「読書です」 は同じ意味です。
「読書です」 は大人が使うことが多いです。 formal
小さな子どもが読書と言うと
(むずかしい言葉を知っている)と思われます。
「本を読むことです」 は大人も子どもも使います。casual
気になったのですが、
ホッビー という言葉は使いません。
hobby をカタカナで書くと
「ホビー」となりますがこの言葉もあまり使いません。
hobby = 趣味(しゅみ)
趣味は本を読むことです。
または
趣味は読書です。
が自然な日本語です。
