When you use "abandon" there's usually a bit of a story that goes with it but they all basically mean the same thing and sound natural.

All of them are correct, sound natural, and mean the same.
But as a side note, 'We decided to scrap the plan' - is not a commonly used sentence.

The sentences with "abandon" and "scrap" sound similar -- for some unexpected reason, you had to stop making or executing the plan. However, "We decided to cancel the plan" sounds a little unnatural. "Cancel" is a word you use for scheduled events, not a plan.
(edit: looking at the other answers, maybe not. It sounds a little weird to me though)
