Question about Korean

How do you say this in Korean? “should/have to” do something? I learned that verb stem + 아/어/여 + 하다 / 되다 makes urgency (ex 자야 되다/하다) but dont 하다/도다 just make something passive/active ? is the difference just the fact that using a verb makes it have to/should?
