It's hard to hear. I think it's either "like" or "Mike". The word "like" makes sense in this sentence. The name "Mike" does not make sense unless he's talking to someone named "Mike."

@sy08101017 No, that wouldn't make sense. Also, whatever he's saying ends with a "k" sound. It's strange. He should be saying "like" but it looks and sounds like it starts with an "m" sound.

It does sound like my or Mike but I think he was about to say something else but he cut himself off and went on with a new sentence.

It’s very clear to me that he’s saying
"I keep asking myself that all the time." He begins to say another word after “that” but he corrects himself. It’s very natural and makes perfect sense.

@sy08101017 It's a kind of slang way to say that's not who we are, that's not our style, that doesn't fit the definition of us (America, Americans).
He's saying we are about freedom and equality, meaning freedom and equality are important aspects that define who we are, so everyone should be free to marry whom they want, but anti-marriage laws do not fit that concept. They go against what we are about.

@everything42 Wow! thank you so much 🤗🤗🤗 in dictionary, that means to be important, to be the most basic. But ... turning into korean, that's not we're important.... it makes no sense to me in context...

@sy08101017 You're welcome. BTW I just noticed that you slightly misquoted him. He said "That's not what we're about."

Is there any reasons to say just like that? I think that's not correct... it's just a mistake???

@sy08101017 He said that in a fake accent, like an Italian immigrant or something. Just a funny, goofy way to talk. Maybe a quote from a movie or something too, I don't know. It just means "It doesn't make sense to me, it doesn't make sense."
