Even though they get a living wage? Because everyone’s chances are equal, who can’t succeed is clear. And the government will step into their private life. Possibly, it is controlled by them. No one want to accept it. It’s not free. So, it is difficult to eliminate poverty. On the contrary, UBI increases the disparity.
In conclusion, on merit alone, UBI is certainly an attractive idea. It will be a tremendous relief for some people. But it needs to make improvement to implement it. It is almost to let end up as an ideal. So, I don’t agree with UBI at this stage.
