What is the difference between let's get some drink. and let's get something to drink. ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

As written only the second one is natural, but they are both functionally the same.

If you remove some and replace it with the article “a” then the first example would work. You could also simply make drink plural.

“Let’s get drinks.”
“Let’s get a drink.”

As written only the second one is natural, but they are both functionally the same.

If you remove some and replace it with the article “a” then the first example would work. You could also simply make drink plural.

“Let’s get drinks.”
“Let’s get a drink.”

@yoyov51234 Yes that also works too, but I intentionally removed the word some because it is superfluous. It’s not incorrect, just unnecessary.

Saying some is equivalent to pluralizing the word. Both imply multiple objects so you don’t need both.
