@smmka It may sound more natural to pronounce it like “d”, but it is not necessary. Pronouncing it like “t” is fine as well! 👍

I think you mean "vowel" + t + "vowel" = "d", which is true. A lot of accents (but not all!) will make a "d" sound instead of a "t" sound there.

@smmka well, replace consonant with vowel. I can't think of any words where there are 3 consecutive consonants with t in the middle.
But, in general, this is more of an accent question. With American English accents, yes. Often, we will transform a t into a glottal stop when it is at the end of a word, and we will transform it into a d when it is between two vowels. For example:
Glottal stop:
Bet
Consonant
Thought
Fit
Effervescent
Deposit
D-conversion:
Glottal
Bottle
Kettle

British
Water
However, this is not always the case. For example, the word "nicotine". The t in this word is always a sharp t, but that may be because it is a more "scientific" word, in the sense that it refers to a chemical name.
For British English, the t is always a sharp t, as far as I know. There is one particular accent within British English that is known for making D-conversion examples into glottal stops. I can't remember what the name of it is, but you will see memes about, for example "bottle of water" being pronounced as "bo'ohw'o'wo'er", where the apostrophes indicate the glottal stop. In this accent, the word glottal would become "glo'al" with a stop replacing the tt.
As far as "correct" pronunciation, I think if you just always pronounce the t as a sharp t, you will be understood with no problems. That is an easy rule. However, if you want to develop an accent that is more American, you can safely convert most vowel+t+vowel words into a d sound.

@Natitan
I was confusing consonant and vowel. I’m sorry.
I understand that the d pronunciation is used instead of the t. Thank you very much.

@dcdesmond You make a good point about the exceptions to the "vowel" + "t" + "vowel" = "d" rule. I believe the bo'oh'o'wo'er accent is called cockney.
