@victorethepug A toxic relationship is a relationship that is damaging your well-being. The relationship could mean with anyone like a parent/child relationship or boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.
If your emotional, psychological, and/or physical well-being is bad because of the relationship, you would call that relationship “toxic”.
It’s weird, but some people find toxic relationships bad, yet too good to cut off, like you said. They probably only see the good stuff about the relationship and choose to ignore the bad signs. That would be a toxic relationship.

Relationship just means that two things/people are connected. Toxic can describe a relationship for anything, but it’s most commonly used for romantic relationships, friendships, and parent/child relationships.
