Question about English (US)
A man said something inappropriate, people would think he said it by accident or he didn’t really mean that. A woman said something inappropriate, people would think she was calculated, she said it on purpose. Is this the case in America?

Yeah, on average. Dudes tend to talk ruder, rougher, more gross--on average. Therefor many people think it is normal for men. When women talk rough or gross, some people find it surprising or not as normal as when men do it. So some people might be more likely to think badly of a woman who talks that way than they think of a man who talks that way.
Not everyone in the US thinks this way, but I think probably many do. I'm somewhat guilty of this prejudice, but I try to be better.
Is it like that in China?

No, I don't think so. Not calculated or on purpose. However I think there is some unfairness in how some people react to "inappropriate" behavior by men as opposed to women. If a woman were to say something inappropriate, some people might be more likely to think badly of her than they would of a man who said the same thing.

@everything42 Thank you for the comment. So, some people would really think that way if women said something inappropriate, but they wouldn’t think negatively towards men, right?

@everything42 Yes, a lot of Chinese people are like that, unfortunately. 😥 But of course not all Chinese people are like that. Thank you for the great answer!
