@themerrygo Yes, I know that’s correct. I’m just wondering if the sentence would still be correct as I have it. 😂

"They aren't rushing to have a kid."
Continuous tense sounds more natural here.
And yes, you can say both baby and kid. 👍

@Tieguy Thank you! So you mean, “they aren’t rushing to have a kid” sounds more natural than “they don’t rush to have a kid”, right?

@Tieguy Then what about these two? Which sounds more natural to you?
1. They aren’t rushing to have a kid.
2. They aren’t rushing into having a kid.

2. They aren’t rushing into having a kid.

@studiousboy They're both natural, but the first one's more common.
You can say "rush to" and "rush into" when talking about making a hasty decision.

@Tieguy Then what’s the difference in meaning between these two? Can you tell me?
1. She looked me in the eyes.
2. She looked me in the eye.
1. She looked me in the eyes.
2. She looked me in the eye.
- English (US)
@studiousboy In this case they mean the same thing, she looked at both of this person's eyes.
But when eyes are used in an idiomatic way, it's usually singular.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" meaning beauty is subjective.
"He couldn't look her in the eye" meaning he was too embarrassed to talk to her.
When we're talking about actual eyes, it's usually plural.
