@EinhornSchreit it is reasonable considering that it's easier to start. Given that Ukrainian is a phonetic language, and there's tons of words derived from Latin/Greek.

They are very close in grammar. Not so close in vocabulary as it's usually expected, and a bit different in pronunciation.

let me correct you
"я просто сказав" - correct
because, "скажи" is imperative, like "будь ласка, скажи щось" = "please, say anything". And "сказав" is masculine form of "told/say - "I told/say = я сказав"
