Question about Japanese
Can someone briefly explain when to use 謙譲語 vs 尊敬語?
I know what they are and what the difference between them is, but am not sure in which circumstances it would be better to use 謙譲語 or 尊敬語, and especially in which situation it would be rude to use the wrong one
I know this is a difficult question, so any answer is welcome, even if it's just very brief
Thank you🙏🏻

No, not at all. It's grammatically very simple.
謙譲語 are:
Verbs I do.
ex. "I eat/drink."
vs
尊敬語 are:
Verbs that the opponent does.
ex. "You eat/drink."
