Traditional things are those that are historically normal or popular for a culture or society. It is things done the way that the ancestors did it. It can refer to fashion, art, cooking, housing, etc.
Conventional things are those popular or expected today, in today's society.
For example, maybe a country has a traditional type of poetry that has been popular for centuries and is identified with that country (like haiku).
But today, most people don't read or write haiku poetry. They prefer longer poetry that is more about love or stuff. It may have some things in common with the traditional style, and it may be a style that is associated with the culture (or not).
So, in short, traditional is the historical way. Conventional is the way people prefer it today.
