Hi, 模样 is more formal and often used in written Chinese. In spoken Chinese we often say 样子。
E.g.， 你吃饭的样子好好玩哦。You look quite funny/interesting/amusing/（ in a good way not offensive）when you eat/have meals.
E.g.，这道菜看起来好好吃的样子。or just say 这道菜看起来好好吃。Both are fine. This dish looks yummy. “的样子” more specifically mean the look/image of the dish.
模样 is also used in song writing which makes the lyrics more poetic comparing to 样子. well， 样子 is also okay in song writing. Just saying.
