Whitechapel is a name. It is already unique. “The” should not be used.
Also, If Whitechapel is a street, in English, “in the street” means on top of the actual road. That is, on the blacktop. The sidewalk and homes where the crime took place are ON the street.
The Devilish Homicide on Whitechapel.

@NerdChieftain thx!
but! 'in the Whitechapel' <- This doesn't mean that a Devilish Homicide is on Whitechapel Street. It means that it originated from Whitechapel Street.
Still, 'The Devilish Homicide on Whitechapel' <- is this correct?

@SOMA33 if the person dies on White chapel Street, this is correct.
I think you might be confusing
“Homicide in London” - “in” is used with city.
This presumably is a murder by Jack the ripper on Whitechapel street in Whitehall. Whitehall is a city, I think. I am not familiar with London.
