Question about English (US)
My friend asked me if we could go for a coffee or lunch sometime soon and I want to tell him that my next 2 weeks are bad for me.
Which one sounds better: "I have plans this weekend and the one after that" or "I have plans this weekend and the next one"?
I’d also like to know what you would say if you say the same thing. Thank you in advance

"I have plans this weekend and the one after that" sounds more natural, however I would offer that a more natural way to say this would be "I am busy for the next two weekends". This is because "next two weekends" is slightly more common than saying "this weekend and the one after that". Despite this, they are both acceptable.
