No. The person speaking gave the blows to the person who didn't know how to guard himself.
"To get in" is a common expression and it means to be able to do something in a situation where it was difficult to do so. In your sentence, it was difficult to hit the other person because he was good at fending off my blows.
"The debate was difficult, but I got in a few, good responses." (The argument was complicated, but I made some good responses)
"We were all trying to make each other laugh and I got in a few, good jokes." (Everyone was talking constantly, but I was able to tell a couple of jokes)
BTW, the phrase is "a few, good". I have never heard "a good, few". Collocation requires you to always say "a few, good". "I got in a few, good blows."
