Question about English (US)
Hi! This sentence puzzles me.
I think it’s inverted to.. emphasize something?
“Not even at the court of the viceroy in Mexico City is there anyone so unique. “
I’m wondering what was a original version.
Does the original sentence happen to start …
“There is…”??
I also don’t get the meaning of this sentence.
I appreciate your help! :)

It is meant to emphasise that there is no one as unique as the person. An easier to read version of that sentence would be: There is no one this unique, not even at the court of viceroy in Mexico City.
