You would use “ feelings” because a number of changes affect your mood. If you feel good, many things change like your state of mind, how you feel inside, your outlook. You may feel peaceful, happy, elated, content etc. so you talk about feelings rather than just one.
If you can pinpoint what made the difference you would not be wondering. In that case you could say “I feel Happy” , “I feel content”.
Since all these feelings contribute to Good Mood” you use word “feelings”.
