English is spoken by literally hundreds of millions of people, most of them as a second language, so you are going to hear every imaginable variation upon pronunciation if you look closely enough. So you shouldn’t be amazed by it. Your real question should be – which pronunciation should I be modelling myself on so that I can be understood by the maximum amount of people?
All day long we have people posting questions here saying – how can I get rid of my accent? Why does one person pronounce it this way and another person pronounce it another way? Wrong wrong wrong wrong. You should have one focus – to make yourself as easily understandable as possible.

It could be a regional dialect. There's a large region of the US that says "pin" and "pen" the same way, but I too have never heard of a "blinket", but we had people in my school argue about "bag". I don't know the IPA, but it was A as in say vs the a in Tag. This also carried over into "bagel", where someone said "b-ay-gel" and others "beg-il".

@isthmus_x That's an excellent point. I grew up with people who don't speak correctly, so I would not recommend modelling them, but they're still "native speakers" XD.
"I done seen a deer." Please don't say this :(

I’ll happily take that 365 days over the fucking Scots 😂 I mean, they are genius people, but when are we just going to admit that it’s a different language?
