This does not sound normal. The expression is “bent out of shape” but I don’t think you would apply it in this context.
I would say something like:
“I feel really disturbed when it see news that makes me think that the world is in turmoil, for example wars and big earthquakes.

'out of shape' generally means the body is not in the best athletic condition.
