@Rudest1ny Yes, that’s a picture of a bar of soap. Soap comes in many different forms, shapes and sizes. They are all soap.

Hello :)
I definitely use the word "face wash." "Facial wash" would be a little less common, maybe seen written on the bottle.
"Soap" is kind of an umbrella term for a bunch of things. Hand soap.. Bar of soap.. Dish soap.. You could even say face soap.
I think "face wash" is the most common. "Soap" sounds a bit harsh for the face, but I guess it depends how much someone cares about skincare products :) Some people may use just one product on both their face and their body and just say "soap." If you use a separate product like the bottle in the picture, I would say "face wash." There is also the word "cleanser" :)
Similarly, I say "body wash" for the liquid product I use on my body. "Soap" makes me think of a bar of soap like you sent.
None of it is incorrect, but there is a difference. In addition, I feel the older generation would be more likely to say "soap" and the younger generation would be more likely to say "face wash" or "cleanser" due to the difference of products on the market and terminology between then and now.

@Kellie94 hey, beauty, may I clarify smth?:)
1) ''cake of soap'' is an old-fashioned way of ''bar of soap''?
2) ''dishwashing liquid'' is more common than ''dish soap''?
Thank you for your time, Kellie:)

@Rudest1ny Sure :)
1.) I have never heard that before. It might be an old term for handmade soaps where a batch of soap was cut into slices.
2.) Not necessarily. I think of the term "dish soap" for what you would use when washing dishes by hand in the sink. I think of "dishwashing liquid (or powder or pods)" or "dishwashing detergent" as what you put inside a dishwasher. But again, they can be interchangeable. Just maybe more common in certain contexts.
