@KevinF its not a limited set of options, why use "whichever"? ive told that:
'Whichever' is used when referring to a choice between a limited set of options. 'Whatever' is used in reference to a more open choice.
For example, if you were making plans with someone, you would say 'choose whichever day is best for you' and not 'choose whatever day is best for you'. As there are only a limited set of days (Monday-Sunday), whichever is the correct term.
We use 'whatever' when the options we are referring to are limitless/open or unknown. For example, if you just came off a diet, it would be correct to say 'I'm so happy- now I can eat whatever I like!'. We use 'whatever' here as the choices for food are limitless/unrestricted, and so it would be incorrect to use 'whichever'. In general, we can think of 'whatever' as referring to 'anything/any one at all'.

I would say there is a limited number of "girls" to choose from.

You're free to choose whichever girl you want on the planet.
You're free to choose whatever ice cream you want from the store.
"choose whatever day is best for you" is natural but "whichever" sounds better

"You're free to choose *whoever* girl you want in the planet" sounds incorrect to me.
