A: Maybe companies will raise prices to finance higher pay and bigger benefits. My favorite coffee house chain upped the price of a cup of coffee latte to cover the hike in labor costs.
B: In other words, it's passing the *buck to consumers.

Is it okay to say passing the responsibility instead?
