Question about English (UK)

The alarm clock went out at 7:30 like everyday. At least 5 minutes passed until I was able to sit up and stretch my arms to perk me up. I started shivering from cold when I got out of the bed, so I got dressed quickly. I was running late. If I did not hurry up, I was going to be late for the office, like always. I do not want the boss to give me a dirty look for being late again.
