@Ansho Yes, but I think it would sound more natural to say ‘drank too much over the past couple of days’ instead of ‘for the past couple of days’.

@Ansho
I have already drunk* too much for the past couple of days, and Christmas has only (just) started.
'I have drunk' is the correct grammatical construction using the present perfect form of the verb 'to drink'. 'I have drank' is not a correct construction.

@f57rhs @hariboapex Thank you very much. Yes you’re correct! This was a typo, but unfortunately soo many people are using drank instead of drunk mistakenly and I’ve heard of it. Yes you’re right. Thank you so much. :)

I drank, he drank etc
I have drunk
I had drunk
He has drunk
So you sentence should read
I have drunk too much over the past couple of days

Just to add on, grammatically ‘i have drunk’ is correct, however in slang/conversational english we often say ‘I drank soooo much last night’ or ‘I have drank way too much’. (at least the younger generation do! so you would still be understood)

@hariboapex
Drank is the past tense of drink, as in "I drank a lot last night," and drunk is the past participle (following "have"), as in "Yes, I have drunk wine before."

@f57rhs Yes that makes sense, but I would even say ‘I have drank so much this week’ which is technically incorrect! Just how slang works i guess :)

@hariboapex That’s so so true I’ve heard many people say that and they’re all native speakers. I hear it all the time and it baffles me cos I know past participle of drink is drunk. 🙌🏻 :)

@Ansho Yep, I think it’s definitely a younger generation thing!! Our quality of conversational english just constantly decreases in accuracy lol.
I’m in university and people always mix up drank and drunk haha

@hariboapex That’s so true, I heard a famous English influencer say this and I was shocked, but then I knew it was common.
