Yes, both male and female can use "เฮีย" to address someone (male) who's older than them. To address someone (female) who's older than the speaker, it'd be "เจ้".
*These two words "เฮีย" and "เจ้" are Chinese-borrowed words.

@PrincessKill Then I can call any guy older than me "เฮีย" and any girl older than me "เจ้" even if they or i are not descendants of Chinese (like no blood relation to anyone Chinese)?

@haeunnn10 Normally we use "เฮีย/เจ้" with those who have Chinese look. Speaker's appearance (caucasian, latin, etc.) doesn't matter. 😊
