@branduhn see is for short period while watch is for long period with attention, in dreams you use see, while movies you only use watch unless you describe details in the movie if somebody asks you about it.

@branduhn game needs attention so watch, for example if I say “I’m watching you” is more like threatening tone than “I see you” because watch means attention/focus.

@branduhn because watch means focus/attention, so if you tell stranger I’m watching you means you’re stalking him/her, meanwhile if you say see you (by chance/ no attention) it also different on situation, if you’re cop and you tell your co-cops Im watching you means you’re covering them/protecting. But in most cases it’s threatening.
