@NEON_DASH I'm not all that good at explaining stuff like this but "teach" is more about learning tell is not. if you want more explanation let me know and I'll try and provide a better explanation.
edit: Tell is not incorrect just less correct.

"Teach" means that you are learning. A book may "tell" a lot but not teach you anything that you don't already know.
