Depending on the scenario, they mean almost the same thing. They have a slightly differing nuance, though.
A: "Would you like to go to the movies with me?"
B: "I would love that." ~
as opposed to,
A: "Would you like to go to the movies with me?"
B: "I would want that.
You see? They get the point across, but saying "would love" sounds more natural and endearing.
