Question about English (US)
Can someone tell me what this tweet is trying to say? It seems to me like the first half and the second half are saying the opposite to each other and it makes me confused.
Its not even that there are content warnings. A horror game (or any game) needs some form of content warning.
To me it's, "how many CW do you need?" You already have the ESRB rating, the description on the box/steam page, and splash screen. At some point it's on you to get it

He agrees that the game needs a content warning (that's the first part). But he thinks there are too many content warnings (that's the second part)

Here they're saying that they understand there is a need for content warnings (CW).

Here they are saying - although there is a need for the CW's, at some point they become too much. Meaning 1 or 2 is understandable, but beyond that point they become annoying.

Thank you both!
But I'm still confused. If there are too many CWs already, why do games need another CW?
I can't help but think that these two sentences are saying the exact opposite.
>Its not even that there are content warnings.
>You already have the ESRB rating, the description on the box/steam page, and splash screen.

It's not that clear from the tweet. He doesn't provide any context. But it appears that he's talking about a game that shows you a warning just before a scary thing happens. He doesn't mind the ESRB ratings and the warnings in the description and the splash screen. But the extra warning just before the scary thing happens is too much.

P.S. I'm trying to help with your other questions but I just have no idea what most of those tweets are trying to say.

@paulf9765 Thank you! Ah, I see. I was wondering why no one answers any of them.
And sorry, I think I've got it all wrong. Let me explain my understanding:
>"Its not even that there are content warnings."
This is saying that the problem isn't that there are CWs, right? I thought it meant that there are no CWs or not enough CWs, as in "It's not like I love you. (=I don't love you)". I think this is why I was confused.
So the writer is basically saying: whether or not there should be CWs isn't a problem. In fact, any game needs some sort of CW. The real problem is that there are already too many CWs, and putting yet another warning just before a scary thing happens is just too much.
Is my understanding correct?

@ttmto yes I think that's correct. but I would phrase it like this: "whether or not there should be CWs isn't the issue."
