Respectively is most often used when you want to refer to TWO lists of things, and you want the reader to know that the ORDER of the lists are the same.

Let's say you have three people... Dasha, Zhenya, and Polina.
Dasha eats an apple. Zhenya eats an orange. Polina eats a banana.

To write this in one sentence, using the word respectively, you might say...

-When Dasha, Zhenya, and Polina had lunch, they ate an apple, an orange, and a banana respectively.

This tells the reader that Dasha ate the apple. (she did NOT eat the orange or banana.) Whatever the order was in the first part, is the same in the second part. Let's use the same example, without the word...

-When Dasha, Zhenya, and Polina had lunch, they ate an apple, an orange, and a banana.

Since you did NOT use the word respectively here, we can NOT assume that Dasha ate the apple. Dasha may have eaten the banana, we have no way to know. See what I mean?

Correspondingly is used when you are describing two situations, and the first situation is linked to the second situation. Example...

-There was heavy rainfall in the spring, and correspondingly higher water levels in the lakes.

This tells us that the higher water levels are linked to the heavy rainfall. Let's use the same example, without the word...

-There was heavy rainfall in the spring, and higher water levels in the lakes.

In this example, the rainfall may or may NOT have caused higher water levels. We said that both things happened. But we have not said that one is linked to the other. The higher water levels could have been caused by melting snow. We don't know.
