Question about English (US)
Please help me correct my article~
I found a very interesting phenomena when I watched US tv series.that is the American chinese cuisine. The characters in tv shows like eating Chinese food very often, especially in The Big Bang Theory. But I noticed that I've never heard most of the dishes they eat, such as General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken or Crab Rangoon, and the first time I saw fortune cookie was also in tv show.I was always wondering What would they taste like?
Isn't this so funny?

Both "in a TV show" and "on a TV show" are grammatical, but "on" is a little more common in US English.

@NikozZ Sorry, I first thought this question was posted in the US culture section instead of the English language section, so I wanted to make sure that I answered the actual question you were asking.
Here's the original reply:
The history of American Chinese food is very interesting. Many of those recipes are over 150 years old, from when Chinese immigrants came to California to work during the 1848 Gold Rush. They created new recipes using American ingredients, since it was difficult to import ingredients from China and most white Americans thought Chinese food was too exotic and strange.
