Both are correct.
In some cases they can mean the same thing. However if for example it is a restaurant kitchen you might be able to bring the plates to the kitchen and pass them through an opening without entering the kitchen. If you bring them into the kitchen you definitely enter the kitchen.

Both are correct.
“Bring the plates into the kitchen” would be more grammatically correct but both work and would be used.

You can use both because it’s understood that you’re not just going to take the plates to the threshold of the kitchen and then stand there or set them down there. Sure, it’s not as grammatically correct as into, but we often like to use grammatically incorrect terms and implication. Heehee
