A snitch is someone who provides information to authorities, often secretly and with the intention of incriminating others, while a whistleblower is someone who exposes illegal, unethical, or corrupt practices, usually within an organization, to the public or those in positions of authority, often at the risk of their own career and with the intention of improving the situation.

Thank you very much for your explanation!
So I think a snitch could be a criminal or normal person and sells their partners to the police for money/their profit/advantages, or for justice,
while a whistleblower is heroic, fighting against a criminal group or something, and risks their life for justice, is my understanding correct?
