請問台灣的朋友們，平常有將西元1998年之類的年份簡寫為「98年」的習慣嗎？看到這樣的用法會和「民國98年」混淆嗎？因此我看到過有人用「112年」來表示西元2023年，所以很好奇~

通常是中國那邊的用法，直接說98年在台灣會直接被理解成民國98年喔！
題外話 西元跟民國的年份換算是 西元扣掉1911（民國元年），比如說112年加上1911 就會是2023年了

我認為沒有上下文或欠缺說明的話，確實可能會搞混兩者
最近幾年臺灣網路超常出現這種只簡稱西元年後兩位數字（ＯＯ年）的用法@@
我猜是受中國影響（網路、影視作品等）
像目前追星圈就有不少臺灣人跟著這樣用（例如：2000 年後出生的族群會被稱為「00後」，1998 年出生的幾位偶像會被稱呼為「98 LINE」）
幾年前我就有注意到簡稱西元年後兩位數的用法會和民國年搞混（因為從 1921 到 2010 年，民國年都是兩位數）
為了避免誤會，我會打清楚西元年的所有數字（如 2023 年不會簡稱「23 年」）

台灣通常會把西元年四個數字全部講出來，例如：1998年會說1998年，不會說98年。只說兩個數字，大部分人會理解成民國年
