It means infatuated with. It comes from the French “enamoré” which means “in love with”, but we use it slightly differently. We use it to say when someone is really really into something, but not to the point of obsession, more just extreme interest and appreciation.
He is enamoured by the sunsets here in Norway = he finds the sunsets really beautiful in Norway
Yes it is an advanced and uncommon word.
