Featured answer
- English (US)
✅for - correct
It means you got a new table for the purpose of putting it in the dining room. It does not explain if it is in there right now or if you will have it delivered later.
❌to - wrong
✅to put in
"to put in" is the same as "for the purpose of putting" but it strongly suggests that it is not there yet.
✅in - correct
It means the new table is in the dining room right now

"Got" in your sentence means "acquired" or "purchased" so "to" doesn't make sense.
If you use "got" to mean "arrived" then it can use "to"
"We got to the movie theater in time for the movie to start."
