When you add 'more', you're implying that there's something you are comparing it to. So, if that sentence is all you say, drop 'more' ("I want to improve my English.").
If you add a second clause or have an additional sentence, then it works. ("I want to improve my English more than before." or "I can read in English well, but I want to improve my English more.")
