To me, to “plead with” is to try very hard to convince. “To beg” is another step past that, where you’ve gone past reasoning, to something possibly unbecoming.
I pled with her for nearly an hour to change her mind, but she would not. So, I dropped down to my knees and begged. She said, “get up, you’re making a fool of yourself.”

@cudzoo If I get it correctly then "plead with" is a rational action whereas "beg" is an emotional one?

Something like that. Pleading involves a lot of emotion, too, for sure. A lot more than just “asking.”
Begging is just a step further.
And, to me, pleading involves more reasoning - whereas, begging is just going - please! Please! Please! I’ll do anything! I beg you! Please!
