When someone says ”何々...よろしくお願いします” to you, is it a safe bet to just reply with ”よろしくお願いします” when you haven't heard or understood what was said to you?

If someone talks only to me, not to many audience, I would ask that person to say again.
Because that person might be asking me to do favors.
If I reply with よろしくお願いします。, that might mean I agree and do your favor.
So when you can’t hear or understand what was said to you, just ask until you get it.
That’s my suggestion as a native Japanese speaker!
