Basically, the words football and soccer refers to the same sport. The word Soccer comes from 'Britain' but yes there is also a bit of difference in the type of ball used 🏈 ⚽

Soccer is called football everywhere except in the US, Canada and Australia.
The two sports have similarities and differences. The biggest difference is that you don't use your hands in soccer/football.
In American football, you the ball is passed and carried using hands.
