Exploit would be using something/someone for your own benefit. Such as, exploiting someone for their money. Exploiting isn’t always a negative thing though, it can be used in the sense of a company finding a better way to make more money so they exploit that new way/completely switch to using that method.
Deprive would be refusing to provide someone/something with the things they need. Such as depriving yourself of sleep. (Refusing to sleep when your body needs it.) Or the government depriving the people of water/food. (Refusing to provide necessary things for survival.)
