infidel = someone who is not faithful to their own religion
heathen = (insulting) someone who has a religion besides Christianity
If I was a Christian and now I'm an atheist, I'm an infidel but not a heathen (since I don't have a religion).
If I'm Hindu, a Christian would consider me a heathen, but I'm not an infidel.
