A couple days ago I donated blood and got my test results. Most of the scores were good, but ALT was a little higher than the standard level.
Even though it’s perfectly fine to say “A couple OF days” I never do and it sounds more natural not to. I think this is because it feels like a mouthful to say it with “of”. So you can just say “a couple days”.
You don’t have to say “my blood” in this sentence because it’s clear that you wouldn’t have been donating someone else’s blood. And saying “my blood” twice makes it sound a little repetitive.
